About Talyty

Talyty (say it like "totality" — the whole of your coverage) is an independent insurance reference site covering every line: auto, home, life, health, Medicare, and final expense. It exists because insurance is explained almost exclusively by people trying to sell you something, in language designed to be skimmed rather than understood. We're launching with final expense — the coverage families need most and understand least — and adding the rest, line by line.

We think plain English is a form of respect. That's the whole editorial policy.

Who writes this

I'm Jesse Judice, a business-intelligence developer in Somerset, Kentucky. My day job is enterprise data and analytics — taking complicated numbers and making them make sense to the people who need to act on them. Talyty applies that same job to insurance: research the numbers, cite the sources, and write it the way you'd explain it to a neighbor at the fence.

I am not a licensed insurance agent, and Talyty is not an insurance company or agency. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, or insurance advice — it's reference material to make your conversation with a licensed professional shorter, clearer, and harder to upsell.

How this site makes money

Some links on Talyty are referral links: if you request a quote or connect with a provider through them, Talyty may earn a fee. It never changes what you pay, and it never changes what we write — cost figures and product explanations are researched independently of who pays referral fees. Pages with referral links say so.
